Easter Lunch

I had a very alternative Easter this year. First of all I was not in Italy and I did not spend it with my family. Which made it one of the best Easter holidays I have had in a long time. I spend it with friends and did all the things I love doing : cooking, eating and dancing !

My friend Camilla and I decided to try out some new products :
The bars are organic, raw vegan and from the brand GetRaw

The bars are available in 4 different flavours :
  • Raspberry & Goji
  • Toffee & Hazelnut
  • Chocolate & Walnut
  • Licorice

Each bar weighs 48g and has 16-19 g carbs , 12-14g fat and 5.8g protein each.

As you know, I am always very honest and I always tell my true thoughts about the products I try.

The bars are very filling and sweet. You can taste the flavour from the dates in all of them and the nuts give a nice crunchy texture. Neither Camilla and I would recommend a gastric bypass patient to eat this bar as it would most probably lead to the typical dumping syndrome.

What we thought :

  • Raspberry  &  Goji --> This is the bar that tastes less like dates which made it the least sweet one. Strong raspberry taste with goji aftertaste. Filling and the least crunchy bar of them all. We gave both 2.5/5 stars.
  • Licorice --> I had heard a lot of positive critic from this bar and that it tasted like "salt liquorice". We both thought that it actually tasted like sweet licorice. Camilla detested it, I found it edible, but not something I would myself buy.2/5 starts for me 0/5 stars for Camilla.
  • Chocolate & Walnut --> Little chocolate flavour, I could mostly only taste the dates. 2/5 stars for us both.
  • Toffee & Hazelnut --> This bar was our absolute favourite ! Tastes like toffee and melts in the mouth ! Absolutely delicious 3/5 stars from Camilla and 4/5 stars for me. Out of all the bars this one is the one I could consider buying again.
